Services Performed
- Scan computer for trouble codes, has codes present as follows: P0496- EVAP System, Flow During Non-Purge P0502- Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit, Low Voltage P0522- Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Voltage Customer advised, diagnosis fee approved to check issues separately. Customer contacted with revised estimate. Repairs approved, performed as noted below.
- Drain transmission fluid, replace with fluid supplied by customer.
- Test system, found no vacuum to servos for climate control. Perform system smoke test, found 2 vacuum lines at rear of intake manifold that had been chewed through by a rodent. Replace lines, test system, now functioning properly.
- Test circuit, reinstall LED style fog lamp bulbs that were installed in reverse, lights now function.
- Test system, found open in circuit, trace wiring harness, found severed wire for speed sensor at transmission cross member area. Repair wiring, speedometer now operating
- Inspect undercarriage and components, no issues noted for engine and differential cradles. Has worn bushings on front lower control arms.
- DRIVE BELT – Remove & Replace
- Replace faulty purge valve at engine compartment. Clear code and road test upon completion, no recurring codes at this time.
- Replace oil pressure switch
