2016 Nissan Altima

- Scan computer for trouble codes (Check Engine lamp is on), has Code U0284 present (Lost Communication with Active Grille shutter). Inspect system, found Active Grille Shutter assy is missing completely, front of vehicle has impact/collision damage to bumper, grille, and a/c condenser assys. Cust advised of repair cost for active shutter, repair approved, performed as noted below.
- Check engine lamp is on, code noted above, will not pass smog inspection until Active Grille Air Shutter Assy is replaced/repaired
- Remove nail, plug puncture, and reset tire pressure No labor fee.
- Replace missing radiator shutter assembly, obtain wiring harness pigtail/connector and rewire connector that was missing when shutter assy was torn out. Clear trouble codes and retest, same trouble code (U0284) returns immediately. Poss computer issue, customer referred to dealer for diagnosis/repair. No labor fee charged, parts sold at our cost.
- Replace rear brake linings. Resurface rear brake disc rotors. Retract rear brake caliper actuators. Clean and lubricate rear brake caliper slide mechanism. Road test vehicle upon completion

- Replace front brake pad linings and machine front brake disc rotors. Clean and lubricate brake calipers and slide mechanisms. Road test vehicle upon completion.

Performed transmission fluid exchange (fluid was very dirty/black). Added Lubegard (PN# 19680) Shudder Fix Addative and road test upon completion. No further shuddering encountered. This may be temporary resolve, customer advised he should monitor for any recurring condition.
