Services Performed
- Inspect and confirmed engine oil cooler located under intake manifold is leaking, oil flowing down back side of engine and onto transmission bell housing. Needs cooler replacement. Customer advised, repairs approved, performed as noted below.
- Scan computer for trouble codes, confirmed code P26AB (Engine Coolant Bypass Valve Stuck) present. Cust advised, valve replacement approved. No charge for diagnostics
- Replace coolant bypass valve assy, Refill cooling system, clear trouble code, and road test upon completion.
- R&R accessories/components as needed, remove intake manifold assy. Remove old engine oil cooler, install new cooler assy and torque to mgfr specs. Reassemble, change engine oil and filter due to coolant cross contamination, refill cooling system, and road test upon completion. Note: may have slight residual oil drippage due to extent of leak before repairs performed. Should diminish over a few days.
