- Scan computer for trouble codes, found codes present as follows: P0012-00 "A" Camshaft Position Timing – Over Retarded (Bank 1) P0022-00 "A" Camshaft Position Timing – Over Retarded (Bank 2) Inspect engine oil level. System is full. Test engine oil pressure at idle at normal operating temperature (hot), is above minimum reqd spec of 25 psi with 30 psi. Test camshaft actuators, both seem to be functioning normally. Changed engine oil and filter, installed factory Motorcraft oil filter. Cleared trouble codes and road tested vehicle. No recurring codes or conditions at this time. Recommend monitoring for check engine lamp or rough run condition, and returning for reinspection if problem reoccurs.
