- Confirmed condition as cust described. Scan computer for trouble codes, has code P0302 (Cyl 2 misfire detected), and P0420 (Catalyst Efficiency, Bank 1) present. Test misfire condition, swap coil and plug from cyl 2 to separate cylinders to see if misfire follows coil or plug. Cyl 2 misfire remains present. Perform compression test, is within specs. Perform cylinder leakdown test, could not verify faulty piston rings, but engine has likely piston ring/valve related issue. Will likely require engine overhaul/repair/replacement. Cust referred to Honda for repair/poss warranty assistance
